Kanan: "How about we go break the Jedi Code?"
Why can I totally see Kanan saying something like that? Great work by the way, I love the coloring.

Well I'm not going to argue the point....it's just my opinion. I just felt with three movies we might learn something about the order....finally see how the power of the Force was more significant than destroying a planet...to quote Vader

Really? I thought it was silly when I saw the first screenshots. Now I think it's rather neat. The sounds are new and refreshing and I love the diversity of it. Also it demonstrates how skilled he is to use it in so many different ways. And at least it's rather unique. That's how lightsabers should be anyway, rare and unique.

True about the rare and unique bit. This one seems a bit out there though...
The series Rebels as a whole is pretty cool.

Pong's double sabers can also fold in 1/2! It appears however that all Inquisitors will get that rotating Β Saber. So once again something looses its uniqueness.

The Inquisitor was a very cool villain. Hearing that all members of this group are using the same tools makes sense on one hand, but lessens the impact of the overall getup.
As Mr. Plinkett said it: "Like anything that's cool, if it's used too much, it becomes boring... 'cept for cocaine."

The double sabre isn't new to Darth Maul. It was acctually introduced in the early 90's Tales of the Jedi comic book series. The soon to be Sith Lord Exar Kun built one based on forgotten lore.
Since the KotOR games, they seem to have become commonplace, and yes, they have been overused.
Clone Wars showed us how a generation of Jedi was wasted on war. It was a fun show to watch, but it was not a very 'happy' show, as everyone knew how it would end. I do like the way they've kept Asoka safe. She could have survived Order 66.
As for Rebels: I like what I've seen so far, and am willing to overlook the kid with his slingshot. It should be several seasons before he constructs a light sabre though, and what it will be is anyones guess. Personally I've always seen it as a multipurpose uttitily tool, several of my rpg characters have had one in their toolbox.

I started out with the West End d6 version of Star Wars, which was a great system in which we ran several campaigns. Great memories!
We also played a few D20 campaings (I even ran one myself for a while, but my group is not really up to playing imperials a.k.a. making the hard choices, also I ran into a bit of writersblock, so I had to cancel that.
I even played in a Saga edition mini campaign and did a mini campaign in it as Game Master.Β That was a horrible system. The books looked cool, but a week after it came out, it already had a 14 page errata.
My latest bit of Star Wars was the new system by Fantasy Flight. I like it, but not everybody in my group agrees with me.
I hardly play computer games. I did play both KotORs (which were great), and played the Dark Forces series in the past (Jedi academy had some great scenarios, as I recall... there just isn't quite anything like a juicer rancor.
Rebels, we'll have to wait and see. I expect it to go on until the movie comes out next year. After that, all bets are off. They might start something about the period between RotJ and episode VII instead, or continue, depending, among other things, on toys sales I imagine.

So much for that 'love is forbidden for a Jedi' crap from the prequels.....Or Kanan was kicked out of the order for breaking the bylaws, and that's why he survived.Β But I like the first explanation, because it sticks its thumb in the eye of Lucas and his prequels...
