Oliver. First time featured on my DA. I dreampt him up about a month ago and have since had a few more dreams with him. He's a border collie mix that likes his top hat. lolNo reason behind the picture other than I wanted to color something and I killed the little background. x.x Oh well.
As I colored it I thought of the phrase "some stars will never shine" which seems lamer and lamer the more I think about it but I wasn't actually thinking lierally and thought it fit Oliver pretty well.
Oliver belongs to me. ^^

Lame? I really love the title! It has a nice ring to it. To me it sounds kind of like that song by Oasis, "and all of the stars are fading away..." from the song Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Anyway, I have to say, from what I've seen so far, this is by far my favorite piece of yours.
I guess it's really the way that you blended the colors together, they really compliment each other.

I've never heard of that song... sounds cool though. I listen mostly to classical music so I'm very much out of the loop when it comes to lyrics and songs and bands and stuff. x)
Anyhow, I'm SO glad that you like him and this piece. He's really one of my favorite characters but he gets so little screen-time now. I suppose it reflects the title even more. Poor Oliver never really gets to shine.
That's a good idea. I could never quite figure out what else he was. Border Collie/German Shepherd would word.

Yeah same here. I don't exactly enjoy classical, but I enjoy music around the 1990's, which from our century... is old. u.u Yet still, I get a lot of my taste from my dad, and thus giving my own taste... which from what my cousin told me, was "emo" music. XD Still, I know what you mean, I'm far out there when it comes to modern day pop and rock and rap and such.
In an odd way, the title does connect! Poor guy, he even has that little thoughtful, sad expression. *patpat* And... the spider... brilliant.

Well, Oliver is going to be in clay one day so he can keep Thomas company. ^^ He'll get some star-shine.

XD Haha, that's okay. I'm not that creative either. Like, at school my friends call me Ritz... so I made my signature a Ritz cracker. Yup... even so, people know who it is so... oh well! As long as it works you know?
And good for Oliver! ^^ Maybe while he's at it he should get a picture... it'll last longer for 'em.

If I make a comic with Oliver as I am musing over, it would be more graphic novelish. I think I have a pretty decent plot for it, too.

I'm just gonna suck it up and draw the people. They aren't the main point anyhow. Plus, I'm not that bad at drawing people, I just prefer drawing animals. lol

lol. Well, the way my trainer explained it made sense. You have to practice it the right way or your practice will have amounted to nothing because you're doing it all wrong. So he says you have to practice it the right way to learn to do it right. Yeah... lol Practicing is good. *sheepish grin*

The background has some nice colours, but I think it would be better if it gradiented (lolmadeupword) more.
