wow, this is just breathtaking! The first thing that really caught my eye was the sky full of stars, you captured that very well, using the blues and greens together worked well, and especially since it's usually very hard to capture realistic stars, you did amazing overall on the sky. I must also say that the horizon is amazing, the way the light is reflected between the sea and sky really tops off your landscape and ties everything together, and the woman is lookin good over there, I can see how you gave her just the right amount of detail.
There are only a few things that could have been done maybe a bit differently, for example the reflection of the moon on the water is toned well but strokes to represent the ripples in the water are going a bit too diagonally, remember that landscapes have kind of wide perspective, and making objects and such follow perspective really makes the work pop. Tbh, the strokes only need to be redirected a bit, but we as humans are used to seeing perfect perspectives from everyday life. I think the only thing else would be the bow(Bow? is that what the front is called???) of the ship and the rail could use a little more detail so that it flows with the detail of the rest of the painting. when painting structures, it is always good to have strong, straight lines to follow but also add some curved edges that appear there as well. I'd Say maybe a curve on the tip of the floor of the boat to show that it curves just a bit before becoming a straight angle again. The body of the ship is pretty good in itself but I just become a bit distracted by the railing. Yae railing is pretty straight but they are also all cylinder-like or rectangular prism-like (uuugh geometry) so for a cylinder feel have a soft gradient of light off the side or keep more precise shading for a rectangular rail. So maybe some light shed up there would help idk. (also the railing on the other side of the ship would be visible between each rail more or less so like maybe add some no-so-detailed gestures for over there)
Overall, this painting is LOOKING GUD and i can see how you gather a better understanding of your techniques and what to do in what place every time you upload a new painting. Another thing I noticed was how astonishing your colors are here, even though this is generally a darker waterscape you took your colors and used them perfectly ;-; it's beautiful
well gosh now that I've dissected all of that, I must say that I can see the improvements you're making and You have really come a long way in such a short time. Keep on!
