Ah, I remember when I first watched this episode (and read it)... good times... I was in an Inuyasha mood, and decided to draw and make this little animated gif...

Well, Inuyasha does have horror themes, and some of the villains are pretty scary. But if you though the anime was scary, then try reading the manga. The manga is even worse; I had nightmares a few times with some of the scarier chapters...

Just like a scene out of the show itself! I like the light effect and how it glows off everything! Done like, as far as I know, the animators of the anime do it. Am I close?

I guess maybe the animators couldn't make Inuyasha glow along with the necklace like here, maybe because the animation in this episode was hand-drawn, and from what I've read in one of the art books of Inuyasha, it takes a lot of effort to create a glow effect with traditional animation. You have to stack many layers or something. I don't remember much of how you do it. But anyway, thanks for commenting!
