Is that profesional parkour or is that you timing the camera shot just right?

Oh, of course you can! Go to YouTube and look for parkour or free running. That stuff is insane.
I bet my boyfriend would be able to do it if I just showed him how...then he really would be like Altair.

I can sort of do it...though I don't look half as good as most everyone else does. xDDD
You have to start out very slow to prevent getting hurt. I'm nowhere near close to being able to do the kind of stuff Altair and Ezio can do. It's really fun, though.
Yes he is. xP

They had it on TV a little bit before the release of the game. Not sure how many days, but I spazzed when I found out about it.

the trailers they had for Assassin's Creed 2 on tv in australia sucked so badly! They did the game NO justice and made it look heck boring! I was growling angrily at the tv when they first came on and everyone in the room's just sorta staring at me like i had something wrong with me

Which ones did they show? I only remember one trailer that made me want to gag. All the others were good.

MoonaSpooks In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-11-24 04:27:54 +0000 UTC]

it was just like a minute of Ezio jumping between teh roof tops or swimming or swinging his sword at guards withs oem really crappy music playing in the background. that was the only trailer we got unfortunatley, australia's not so big on games

Sounds like the one I was thinking of. Ugh that was a horrid commercial.
We had an interesting one here I remember. I think it showed some of your assassination targets lying dead on the ground, zoomed in on the face, and it would switch every time a bell rang.
There was another that I liked, but I don't remember much from it. (stupid fail of a memory! xP)

yeh twas crappy commercial.
I think i saw that 1 on a computer trailer my brother showed me, that was interesting Good old bell toll, liek from the first game. Oh i love that little movie short u get on teh bonus disc with the part assassination. that was such and awesome video! the detail and movement was amazing!

Invader-Shi In reply to MoonaSpooks [2009-11-24 07:50:58 +0000 UTC]

I've not looked at my bonus disk yet. I jsut looked at what songs i had on the soundtrack, and that was it.

MoonaSpooks In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-11-24 07:53:21 +0000 UTC]

yeh there is not much on the bonus disk that u haven't already seen. there's the sound track, some developer diaries, which are pretty short and boring, and then 2 trailers and video (teh 1 with the party assassination). tehn if u put it in ur compuda there r 2 wallpapers. like i said, not much

It's also trickier in cosplay

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Invader-Shi In reply to Shadow-Clone [2009-10-31 11:20:45 +0000 UTC]

Not by much. At least it wasn't that way in the clothing we were wearing.
The only thing we had issues with were out hidden blades. We had to be careful using out left arms so we didn't end up ruining the things. (which ended up happening anyways :/)

Shadow-Clone In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 11:39:34 +0000 UTC]

Hmm your cosplays are probably made more conveniently than mine then XD With Altair
it would be ok (well except for the long flaps I can see them getting in the way) but
parcouring as Ezio X_x it was possible but I had to watch out about not ruining the boots.

Invader-Shi In reply to Shadow-Clone [2009-10-31 11:47:19 +0000 UTC]

I forgot about the cape I wore
That thing was horrible to move around with when we were fighting. The thing is a lot longer than it needed to be, and I had to be careful not to trip on it. (though just holding my arm out slightly made it so I merely stepped on it only once, and you couldn't tell i was doing so) It was still a pain, though.

I used different pieces of normal clothing for both our costumes, they've just been pieced together to where they resemble the characters we were dressed as. My boyfriend didn't seem to have any issues with moving, only the fact that he's a pole so it was near impossible to keep the clothing on him!
I swear I had to fix his costume at least five times!

SWEET!! Actual parkour in actual cosplay! It's a shame no one goes out in public in their favorite costumes. People could be more interesting if they could wear their costumes in public and the only reason was because they wanted to.

AnonFirefly In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 02:45:00 +0000 UTC]

I'd give you a hug in public if I saw you in that costume.

It's really sad. If everyone went out dressed up as their favorite character then nobody would get the weird looks because everyone's worn a costume like that in public for no reason short of wanting to.

Invader-Shi In reply to AnonFirefly [2009-10-31 02:53:56 +0000 UTC]

And I would be like "Umm...Hi there? "

Yes, it is. I can't even wear a cape into public without being glared at. :<
If it weren't so hard to get my friends together, wed probably go all over the place in costume.

AnonFirefly In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 02:58:54 +0000 UTC]

Then I'd be like, "I'm one of your stalkers on DA! Remember the infamous 'only if I'm on top' comment?"

Odd. My girl friend has a mohawk and spikes it regularly and the few times I get to go out with her in public, most people don't say much. Or at least not that I can hear. :< Humanity needs to let loose sometimes and have fun (within paramaters: No punching, no fighting to injure, and absolutely no criticism unless its taken to extreme. Cosplay I understand, streaking I do not.)

Then i would be on the floor laughing at remembering the situation that popped into my head.

I'm one of those people who take things to an extreme. Today is a good example. I went to school as a zombie. All I did was use some regular makeup around the house, only i used it in ways its not really meant to, and made it looks like I had dark bruises and dead skin all over me, and made my eye sockets almost completely black. (that alone was frightening D I went to the extreme and poured fake blood all over my clothing and made it drip from my mouth.
They booted me out almost as soon as I walked into the building. I'm not exaggerating.
And yet other people can go around in costumes just as out there as mine. -_-

AnonFirefly In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 03:22:08 +0000 UTC]

And then I would yell to the surrounding crowd, "AS YOU WERE!!" And then laugh as all the people just moved on.

That's not an extreme to me. In fact, at my school, you probably would have won the costume contest (the real winner went dressed up as the hottest looking English teacher in the school). People would have started to scream, but I doubt they'd have thrown you off campus. My sophomore English teacher went as the Wicked Witch of the West and she nearly scared the pants off me when I saw her.

Well, we're not supposed to wear costumes in the first place anyways, but people do so anyways. I would have gone in my Ezio costume, but I already did it once, and I've been going on about Assassin's Creed so much over the past week, I think it was time to give people a break and come out with something new.
Not to mention I went to a little discussion meeting meeting yesterday where we talked about zombies and what we should do if there ever was one.
(which makes it even stranger that I got booted off campus)

AnonFirefly In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 03:50:36 +0000 UTC]

Odd. It's almost Halloween, you'd think that they'd allow people to wear costumes to school. It's allowed at my school (granted you had to buy a pass from the school club that orchestrated it this year) but in general if you had a pass, you could wear what you wished (except the really slutty clothing. They'd demand you change). And I know the feeling of when you talk about something too much. Happens all the time with Transformers and me. I still want to talk about them and wish there was someone out there who would always talk about them so I could speak to them about nothing but Transformers. Or Assassin's Creed. Or Prototype. Or any other game I liked.

I guess they were practicing their "What to do in case of a zombie apocalypse" drills.

They only did that once. :/
I wouldn't be surprised if they never did that again just because of my costume >.>
I was Cortana ([link] ) that year, if I remember correctly. I wasn't nude, but I had a body suit that was painted to imply nudity.
Like I said, I take things too far. D:

Yes and no. Me mostly talked about random zombie stuff until the people there ended up breaking off into two separate conversation topics. I don't know about the other group, but my group was talking about some really hard core planning.
We already know what to do for armor, weapons, places to go and where to get our supplies from.

AnonFirefly In reply to Invader-Shi [2009-10-31 04:05:48 +0000 UTC]

Whoa. Now that's not entirely too far, but it's defiantly there. At least you weren't nude nude. (Thanks for all the links. I'm meeting some really good artists. Alty on Ezzy... *is shot*)

Ah. That's happened before, though it makes for some really odd moments with me. I will try to follow two conversations at once then then if I miss something I'll ask a very stupid sounding "What?" And then have them explain to me what they were just talking about. It's odd that I say the stupid sounding "What?" when I hate for someone to say that to me. :/
