yeah, I believe that's a staircase leading to a small landing from which people could jump into the river and go for a swim

they never let you as close as you want... ooo, nighttime pics would be awesome. I live a few hours from Taliesin and would love to have free reign of the grounds for some pictures. I haven't gotten up there yet to look around though.
