Description

Do you remember my drawing with a giant skeleton? irbisty.deviantart.com/art/Gia…

So, I mentioned, that dream had a few cool characters in it. Here we go! The first of 3!

The Mage:

The whole dream-plot was around her. She is how she looks on the drawing: pretty proud of herself and confident. No matter what she was doing, she always looked like she was posing on purpose. She had a strange haircut. She left her native city and was traveling for a long time, but I’m not sure where to nor why. One thing for sure, she was so foreign to any other city she came across that people were scared to talk to her. She was a mage and her magic wasn’t pretty. That world had many performers and magicians, but their magic was mostly harmless and visually pleasing. She was a true mage with a true magic that required a lot of knowledge and understanding of the world’s mechanisms. This magic could put in dust waste whole territories or cure the untreatable if enough skilled. All of those mages were living in a city called Academia and rarely leaved it or communicated with other people because of their independent nature. Nobody knew what to expect from these neighbours or what to do with them, so the best way was not to touch their city. People could feel that she was different and they feared the unknown, despite the fact that she was so far from her home that locals had never heard of Academia and its citizens.

She is probably a strange one even from her own city, as she is more interested to travel. Or probably she got some task to do..but I could see how people would find her unapproachable.

But is she of good or evil? Do you get what sort of personality she has from the dream? Her magic do sounds powerful enough though.

True... She was very curious about the world around her. I would say that she was a good person. A strong one and with a kind of dark magic, but she causes no harm to people. At least not as I knew during that dream

Her personality... He had a strong character, but she wasn't getting in troubles with it. She knew when it's time to shut up or to ignore. A little witch, ahahaha

Well that's a relieve to hear of her character and personality. ^^
Sounds pretty street smart too, she'll do just fine in the dreamworld.
I wouldn't say she a little witch though with skills like that XD

Oh yes :-D I'm kind of sad that I haven't seen anything new about her word yet. I liked so much. By the way, there are still two drawings in progress form that dream. I don't know when I will finish it... but one day.

Very cool. I get some vivid dreams from time to time (though less often the older I get, sadly).

My favorite dream to date? I was a dragon flying above a city and attacking helicopters. XD It sounds dumb, but I remember the feeling of flying that I had. It was amazing!

Nice! It seem to be not so many people out here who can get vivid dreams

And you dream sounds awesome!   So, how many helicopters did you get? :-D You should stick an equal amount of stars on your side now:-D

I had a kind of similar lucid dream ...a long time ago and it was as you said. You can't forget the feeling of flying!
I was a dragon too, but after a flight above some forest, I was scared to land on rocks, so I couldn't find anything better than to land on a lake... I ended up like on a video with an owl trying to 'swim'. Strange feeling. Wings become so heavy and 'stick' to a water surface because of its tension. Well, I made it to a shore safely. But for a future reference... Don't land on water if you're a dragon :-D

I actually only got just one; I was small enough that I could land on the side and start throwing people out of it, but big enough that I was able to destroy it and watch it explode spectacularly before flying off. It was a very short dream, unfortunately!

Your dream sounds really interesting; I can understand that "sticky" feeling, though. It probably would feel like that!

So... Here is your big star!
Damn, why all cool dreams are short? So unfair. I wish you to have more dreams like that, but long :-D

It was the only dream with a dragon so far. I love dragons, but they don't visit my dreams...

Sweet, thank you! And thanks for the watch!

I've gotten quite a few story ideas from my dreams, but I'm too caught up in my current novel to do anything else, writing-wise. And once I'm done, I have a looooooot of editing to do.

You're very welcome, friend!

Well, your can safe your dreams for a bit later then. :-D
OH! Nice! Good luck with your work

By the way... Is it difficult to write a novel? I mean... I heard that it's super expensive and takes a lot of time to be able to publish it. But I don't know is it true or not.

It is difficult... and a long process (for me, anyway). I'm not a professional writer or anything, and I've never had anything published. It's honestly a bit embarrassing how long I've been working on this thing, if I count the very first concept (I usually do, but maybe I shouldn't; it's changed a lot since then).

Getting published is a bit intimidating; you have to try to find an agent who will support your book, and that means sending your manuscript to a lot of different publishing companies. And you have to be prepared for a lot of rejections, because I don't think I've ever heard of anyone being lucky enough to get picked up on their first try.

Oh my god, sorry for the late reply! I finally found your comment!

I see, yeap, it looks exactly as it is... Difficult. Thank you for the info
I respect all writers. It's awesome to be able to find right words over and over again to tell a story. And it's way more time consuming than to draw something. Great job!
Good luck with your work, again

Hehehehe, I guess :-D But I would really want to know what happens if to use some bad pick-up lines from Tinder... or some dad jokes.
