To put it in one word: Vow. I suppose that only thing better than designing a costume for a character is to design a costume for two characters. 
There is also a lot more to like in this. Their poses and especially expressions are natural and almost live-like. It is easy to imagine and associate oneself to a certain mood the characters are having, starting with the apparent giggle on the right as result of the conversation they are having. The fumes as rising from the pot and the cup are nice touch also.
