Description Drew a Goodbye Gift for my friend, He is going to deactivate his account this coming month, which starts tomorrow, so I wanted to draw something for him before he left. Going to miss you dude, you are a very cool person to talk to.Β 
Anyway, drew one of his raccoon brother characters, Johnny, who is in the Confederate Army during the Civil War with my character, Grandpa Herman when he was young. For most of those who probably don't remember Herman, he is one of Derby O'Brien the cowboy's relatives. He's the Grandfather of one of Derby's cousins, either Oscar or Kelly McBride. I have only drawn him a couple times, he is basically an old Confederate Soldier, course, he's young right here. Both of these characters are also of Irish descent.Β

Thanks. Me too, they were my people after all. I had an ancestor who was in the Confederate army, and was killed when he was only 17 years old. So yeah, Southern forever.

Your welcome mate. Also that's pretty cool. I also had a family member that fought in that war. And he lived in the part of the West that wasn't even part of statehood yet! I wonder how drafting worked there haha. We still own the rifle he used in the war. And only 17?! That poor guy. That's way to young!

Thanks! Yeah, it's a fascinating time period, even though it was sad and bloody at the same time. I had an ancestor who was in the Confederate Army and was killed in Charlottesville. He was only 17 years old and was from Gates County, North Carolina. The house he lived in is still there, and I got to go see it at a Family Reunion a couple months ago.Β
