I swear my blood parrot fish posed for me! This one looks like it is blowing a kiss!
Update: I have fixed the orbs, so in full view it looks much better.

he does. i have two of these fish at home they pose for me too but they mosly hide it's my other fish that do most the posing.

That pose looks just like Lady Fish in 'The Incredible Mr. Limpet'... old Don Knotts movie, showing my age. Beautiful photo, excellent work.

I had to find my blood parrots a home, because my tank population was mostly gentle fish, and they were eating them. I miss them to this day and if I ever have to do my tank over again, I would just get aggressive fish, since they are so beautiful and can live together with np. Blood Parrots have great personalities and they watch/respond to us. They are so cool! They have grown in their new home and are now quite huge. They are at a local business so I can visit them whenever I want.

I had a cichlid tank once, and I hated it. There are so many different types of aggressive. My Blood Parrots got along great with Angelfish, Oscars, Peacock Cichlids, Jewels, and Convicts great, but stick one Auratus in there, and all of the sudden all of my others were either dead or wounded. Green Terrors were iffy, Red Devils were a definite no. And there is ALWAYS a bully. If the meanest one gets taken away, there is one ready to fill its place. lol If I could afford a Discus, I wouldn't mind a tank of those. They are so pretty.
I think I really missed being able to put a school of neons in there, have my plecostomus live. My two Blood Parrots died recently from a bad snail. Thing died, and before I found it, they ate it. 
I'm thinking about getting some weird fish now. My Knives are doing great, and I would dearly love an elephant nose or baby whale. Not as pretty, but I don't have to worry about constantly having a recovery tank.

Wow, you've had quite the collection of fish! I'd love to someday have a saltwater tank, but the fish are so expensive and I fear it may be a hard tank to keep. I've had a tank for 3 years now, and it has been a breeze. I don't know the types of fish I currently have, they are a motley crew. I have a couple of schools of small fish, a couple of very small koi, some rainbow looking fish, a blind fish (one-eyed), a catfish looking thing and an algae eater. I will always miss the Blood Parrots. They were so much fun to watch!

I've owned this tank for years, but it hasn't always been in my possession. 
My dad kept salt water tanks, and he said you mainly need to worry about the salinity levels. It actually takes the same amount of time to set up a salt water tank as it does a fresh water one. Gotta wait about a month for stuff to build up. I never have tried keeping one. My tank is a 32 gallon breeder tank. It's as long as a nice 100+ gallon, bit only slightly taller than a 10 gallon.

Oh wow, that sucks what happened to your fish! I'm so sorry! I have nightmares all the time about something going wrong and losing my fish. A recurring nightmare is one where the tank somehow loses water.
That's good to know about saltwater tanks. I know the saltwater fish seem more expensive, but they are so beautiful and amazing to see!
