I love parrot fish. They always look like they are smiling and have adorable personalities!

Do you have the blood parrots or jelly bean? If so, do they live peacefully in a community of fish? I had two deaths of small fish lately, and my daughter suspects it was the parrot fish and wants me to take them back to the store.

I have blood parrots. Jelly beans are the same, just injected with dye. What kind of community fish do you have? Mine have eaten guppies and small feeder fish, but mine are HUGE. Yours still looks like a little baby parrot.

I have large goldfish, two black moors, a couple who's name I do not know. So far all is well.

Thank you! I am glad you like it! I can do better. These fish are always posing. This particular Parrot fish, one of the three I have, we named Snap. (Snap, Crackle, Pop) Snap was chasing the other fish away from her spot in the aquarium to pose for me. If the other Parrot fish came over to smile at me, she was furious. It is the cutest thing. She would chase them away, then come right back in front of me and strike a pose.

Thanks. I can do better. When they face me straight on and angled up, what a shot! I just keep getting blurry ones, but hopefully soon I will get it right.

timing and angle and keeping the camera steady must be difficult since they are always moving and who knows where they will go next huh?

Oh yes! At first I tried following them, but that is just crazy. Now I just position myself where I can swing the camera comfortably from left to right and wait. It will be pure luck if I get any great shots!
