The pose is purposefully based on the "Miles Edgewoth" pose since MatPat tend to use the Phoenix Wright sprites in his videos. Also, MatPat also made the claim that Mangle is culprit the bite of 87, making it more consistent that Mangle would be judicial fighting back.
As for your style, its cartoony look makes Mangle pop out better than a more complex picture. Not to mention you have a great way of making look her nice. ^_^
