Description Here are some screen shots of the Photoshop colouring of my cyber dragon artwork. I saved the whole screen area so you can see the layers and tools being used. Hope you find this interesting I'm still working on the painting but I'll put the finished image in my gallery when it's done.

I'm curious, what did you use to go from a Black and white picture to a colored one?

I can never do metallic/robotic pictures; too much detailing and too much shininess. X0

How can I express this in english?
Fantastic work flow, maybe?

I take it as you made this first in gray-tones and then added some colours, did I get that right?

Its so fantastic, its interesting to see others work in progress! thanks for telling and showing!

Have you used any Photoshop filters during the process or is it all just various Brush styles?

Ironshod In reply to cheburasha [2006-06-18 10:18:40 +0000 UTC]

I didn't use any filters on this one, just different brushes and some texture overlay.

Thanks It's been a bit of a chore doing so many metal scales, but the painting is nearly finished now.

The center dragon head looks to have the most change as it even went from facind downward to looking right at the viewer.
I like the progression from sketch to 3D coored.

Yes, the clients asked me to change the centre head and I think they were probably right and this is more engaging now.
