Here's one for the Dungeons and Dragons fans amongst you
Wizards of the Coast have now released their new D&D rule book The Complete Mage, so I am now allowed to show you some of the art that I did for this book.
The subject for this illustration is a Mind Flayer. They are just the coolest monsters! This one is shown partially behind the magical portal of a Shieldstone Cavern. The picture is for the inside of the book and the text is laid around the edges, hence the format.

This reminds me of Cthulu(sp). I just finished a bookend of Cthulu and the Kraken. I will be adding it next week, hopefully.

Very good! I always enjoy your art in the D&D sourcebooks, and I rather enjoyed Comp. Mage even though the first half seemed like uselesss filler for the incorrigibly dense. (Honestly, who actually needs to be specifically told that the blaster archetype focusses on damage instead of illusion?)
In addition, I agree that mind flayers are one of the all time most AWESOME monsters, and certainly the best abberations. I've been planning an Illithid encounter for the anniversary of H.P. Lovecraft's death on March 15. (Though I must say, Rakshasa make better long-term NPCs)

This is awesome! I love Mindflayers! They are the all purpose bad guy and I think they are by far the worst threat of the underdark not counting the drow because they have the numbers and seem less likely to subjugate the world. Afterall, if the mindflayers did it once (to the Gith) they can do it again. I think that and their ability to control you and take away freewill is what makes them such an epic evil. I really like the menacing look to the eyes that you gave it.

Well, Illithids are one of the coolest creatures in the game, and this pic does it justice without being the typical motive of an Illithid. Really great.

You know it was between one of them and my monster of legand for the campain ill be doing, but I was told by the DM that anything horribly evil would be lynched and murdered before the actual war started.
