Description
These are 3 orphaned and weakened squirrels that I found in our driveway (they must have fallen from a tree). After a while, we've noticed the mother was not coming back for them. We concluded she was dead. But, of course, we couldn't leave these poor little babies to die. It was the beginning of fall and they still needed mother's milk to survive throughout entire fall and winter. In the winter, they'd die as well, as there would be no time for them to learn how to survive on their own (with the mother being dead). So, we took them in, and nursed them back to health until the spring. We kept them in a huge cage (built specially for them) in one of our rooms. We'd let them out of the cage to run about the room every day. When the spring came, we put the cage outside so that they'd get used to being outside. Then, we opened the cage, and scattered food around our backyard every day, until they've learned how to gather food on their own. By the end of the spring, they were free once again They still keep coming to us for food! I LOVE ALL SQUIRRELS OF THE WORLD!

On the above picture, they're all cuddling among bottles with warm water. This gave them an impression of their mother's body warmth, which they still needed at the time we found them.
