Can't sleep and been on a Disney kick lately.IT'S UNSTOPPABLE.
Plus have been looking at a lot of Gurren Lagann animated clips.
This is my official "love letter" to Disney's Treasure Planet.
(setting takes place maybe when Jim Hawkins is captain of his own crew, traveling the universe and being GAR and awesome 20 years later)
Like I said this movie is what got me into character design and DA before Avatar:The Last Airbender.
Because even if the movie tanked in American audiences and the fandom is sometimes so DERP, I love this movie, and that's not gonna change.
We all have to grow up, learn from our heroes and move on, so it's always good to look back and go:
"Thanks for the ride, bros."

I love this! The detail and grandeur of the world in just one drawing! I'm guessing that family of aliens in the hut are supposed to be Nathaniel Flint's species? They certainly look like him with their multiple eyes and reptilian features.

MY SWEET FROSTKISSES, how I love this movie! And Jim looks so awesome in this! This could easily be art for a sequel or something, I'm talking seriously. The colors and the setting, everything looks...I ran out of adjectives, just gah! I love it.

yeah just finish watching the movie again from last work on hd.. wow..it really does leave a heart warming feeling at the very end with the lines from silver.. you are going to rattle the stars my boy!

Uhh Treasure Planet ain't Disney's it was produced by DreamWorks, if I recall correctly. Though I was convinced, in the very beggining , it was Dsiney movie as well.

This is too epic! You kept with the style of the film as well as the 70/30 law, but threw in some unique flair. And I LOVE your design for the adult Jim. The coloring is fantastic! It's all so lovely!

I loved that movie, and still do. To me it was the only Disney movie that had any heart and soul with the characters. It was actually more like an anime movie than an actual Disney movie.
