Description
I recently had the opportunity and pleasure of working with a friend who's also a grad student studying Placenticeras fossils. They asked me to create custom artwork for an upcoming presentation featuring the fossils she is studying. It was unlike any other commission request I've gotten and I quickly jumped on board. Doing scientific illustration like this has been a dream for a while now. Needless to say, I had a blast spending time with these fossils and rendering the details with my digital tools. I'm pretty pleased with how this series of four turned out and am eager to do more!
These two were done on Procreate using an iPad and Apple Pencil. It took just over an hour in total.
If you like this, be sure to check out the rest of the series
Placenticeras I , Placenticeras II , and Placenticeras IV
As always, thank you for your appreciation and support. What would you like to see next?
