A digital painting based on my local lake. This one, inspired by the dazzling combination of a fresh snow and golden hour, is also part of a bigger series of paintings I'm doing featuring lakes in Minnesota.Midautumn Morning , Harriet Hills , Gold Lining Isle , Beauregard Backwoods , Birch Vieux , and Mellow Willow are also part of the series.
I've really been enjoying applying my digital painting skills to nature. Creating these is always really peaceful and fun, and I'm especially pleased with how the color palette came together in this scene.
Took a little under 2 hours using PaintTool SAI and my trusty Wacom Intuos tablet. Enjoy!
