It was probably harder to do this without the yellows and golds to use. Kudos!

I absolutely LOVE your rendition of this painting. As a matter of fact, I love it so much that I would humbly ask your permission to have your beautiful work of art engraved on a very expensive metal front guitar of mine. If this is ok with you, would you send me the biggest, highest resolution copy of it that you can. My email address is: modmatic@gmail.com. I would be happy to send a picture of my guitar when it is finished for you to see and post if you would like. You are a very talented artist! Thanks so much for your time. Very best regards, Stefan

this is one of my favorite paintings, and you have done an excellent job in making your own version

i get your family's reaction...I get that looking at work by a lot of the impressionists- not because it's bad, but because it's ubiquitous...& pretty much anyone who thinks Klimt thinks "The Kiss" to the point of over-exposure. I like your take a lot- it honors the original but has a few of your flourishes in it to take it beyond a copy

Klimt's The Kiss is one of my fav paintings ever. You did a fantastic job representing it well but also adding your own flare to it. All of the patterns must have taken you forever!

You know....I feel like I kind of have to agree with your family. I like this a lot more than the original too. I mean, the golds and yellows int he original are really beautiful and vivid, but I like her face more in this one, and you can see where the guy's legs are here too. Lovely linework (as per usual. )!

Thank you very much! The gold tones are what I love best about his pictures. It DID always rather bother me that I couldn't see his legs though... ah, artistic license

You are most welcome of course!

Artistic license is a most useful invocation.
