Very creepy (big Lovecraft fan); to me, the most unsettling thing about your shoggoth is all of its swollen, rheumy eyes

A literal interpretation of Gedney's comparing the shoggoth tunnel to a subway tunnel and yelling the names of stations as he and the narrator (the only survivors of that ill-fated expedition) fled the raging Shoggoth. Several penguins got run over as well !
Gedney lost what sanity he had left when he glimpsed -someTHING- beyond the Kadathian mountains !!

Whatever it was, the Old Ones never dared cross those mountains. Among other things, they did not like the way lightning caressed the highest peak, or the -objects that washed down at times. The region had been blighted and cursed from the day the first continent rose out of the primal ocean.
Other worlds have been colonized by the Old Ones without a problem, BUT earth had a primal evil.

As I've mentioned in the other comment I really like art that deals with the stories of Lovecraft! And I really enjoyed seeing this one too! You've created a interesting, but somehow scary atmosphere
