Honestly. If you don't want kids, use it.If you're done having kids, use it.
I'm pro-choice but it's just easier to start with prevention.
Condoms, Diaphragms, Sponges, Depo Shot, Nuva Ring, Pills, even the natural form (where you keep track of the days when you ovulate).
ALWAYS talk to your doctor about what's best for you! Many women use it for other reasons that aren't related to preventing conception.

you can use as many contraceptives as possible and still end up pregnant, if you are sexually assaulted the person who assaults you may not use contraception. Not to mention birth control pills have many health benefits and are prescribed to people for more than just sex.

I agree. I'm going to use birth control when I get married and am ready to have sex. Either that or get sterilized. I don't give a damn about how "fun having kids" is for other people. Because I know for sure, that parenting will NEVER seem fun to me. Kids are little brats and honestly, I hate most of them. Screw the whole idea of a woman being born with "motherly instinct". I find children, and the idea of even being a mother revolting and disgusting. Plus, childbirth is a b*tch. I just want a husband whom I'll love, and that's it. No kids. EVER.

Either way, Birth Control is roughly 98% effective and if you, by chance, fall in the two percent that do get pregnant while using it-sad to say but-oh well. The couple would get pregnant. Although with the population rising like it is, and abortion rates rising, some birth control is better than none, right?

I do know of some girls who use it to help alleviate very heavy bleeding and painful cramps. The intention was not to prevent life so while it would be nice to have another medication to deal with it, its okay in that instance. I think there may have been studies that birth control increases breast cancer. :/ What if you didn't have to use it at all and have a little self-control?

Eh, you mean in the case of women who take it for purely pregnancy prevention? In my opinion it's a good thing because it stops women from getting abortions by not allowing them to become pregnant in the first place. Yeah, you can say to have self control, and I can sort of agree with you before marriage but after you're married I think it's fine to have sex with your husband without wanting lots of kids.
