Moon map I used to make the Terraformed moon image. Note that it has no snow because of it's slow rotation plus it's small size and low gravity.Related content

hay gguess what i used your map to make some new map that looks similar to it but not as the same because i turned it into a map of some very distant planet but i havent uploaded it to day oh i shal do that right now

Yes, I took a basic height map I got from Celestia Motherload.. then I ran it through a vegetation program.

I took the result and did a little photoshop tricks (not NEARLY as nice as yours) and took color samples of an Earth pic. I really like your ocean and atmosphere effects, but I'm not too thrilled about your choice of vegetation (but your Mars I like).
This is the map I did. It has a lot more tundra and sea depth variation than I saw in yours.

I base all of my maps on the assumption of a 1 bar atmosphere surface pressure, and no change in rotational velocity. Because of the moon's small size and slow rotation it would have only one climate zone and no mountains nearly high enough to result in any snow. The map I have on here is old, and mostly interpolated because it's based on Clementine data. I do have a newer one based on Kayuga data I used for my newer moon images, but I have yet to release it to the public yet.
The Mars map is older as well.
