What is going on with Mettaton's and Frisk's hands? At first I thought that they were swatting him away then I looked again and it just looks like Mettaton is just waiting for Frisk's hand.

Frisk might be joking around to ease their tensions, but she's taking the thought that she's isolating herself and hurting herself away from them. The joke is for their sake, probably because she doesn't want them to feel bad for hurting her or locking her up.
At least, that's how it seems to me. If I were her I'd probably do the same thing. Hurt myself and lock myself away in near total isolation, find a way to stop my own abilities (handcuffing myself to the building or heavy machinery if I had Frisk's teleport ability) and just stay there, all while distracting those who cared with jokes and acting like it's all fine.

That's likely gonna feel like an emotional knife to the gut for Sans once he catches on probably.... especially since before he probably would have only cared because such actions would make Tori sad and now he has a basic understanding that the one suffering most is Frisk.
Meanwhile, I think Frisk needs a friend (not Chara) and probably fluffy.

You are bumping up against spoilers, dear one ^_^ That is if I chose to go the happy ending rout. I'm still not convinced that would be the most interesting thing to do yet. Dither, dither, dither I've got the script all written out with about three possible end scenes in mind. I'm keeping an eye on the comments to see what people seem to be more interested in ^_^ What do you think? This comic keeps running into dark waters, would it make more scene for in to end tragically or would a lighthearted turn around be more fulfilling?

Well.... Undertale is a story with multiple endings.... so why not both? Perhaps settle on one and then do a 'what could have been' alternate scenario? After all, it could end in tragedy or comedy.
Or a happy medium somehow? Like Frisk dies, but they somehow die happy and fulfilled...?

Frisk dies in all of the endings I have planed, even the happy one... I was thinking of doing a tag on where she's able to come back-- some goofiness about her losing her DT but the remaining magic in her body is able to turn her into a kind of monster. I was trying to set it up with Pap getting splashed with DT and when everyone's all sad and crying after Frisk dies, a drop of DT falls from Pap onto Frisk's corpse and because monsters are mostly magic with only a small amount of matter and determination themselves she's kind of re-born -- but that kind of thing has been done to death in stories now. It just took me too long to get this far and now it seams that everything has already been done. It's one of the main reasons why I keep thinking I should abandon this comic. There are no new ideas to be done with these characters in a setting like this. Perhaps it's more likely that I simply lack the talent to make it interesting.
