The first winter spent alone - apart from his family. As lonely as it was, being apart from his family was also freeing. Pelle found himself roaming through Skydas' territory, taking time to simply enjoy his newfound freedom among the snow covered wilds. Rumors of troubles among the other packs fall on deaf ears as Pelle chooses to focus on himself, reflecting on what he's been through and what's to come. A gathering of the packs would only bring up more pain, causing freshly healed wounds to tear and bleed again. He's not ready to face his mother again - not yet.

Through it all the feeling of loneliness never leaves, dragging his attention back to Skydas. This was to be his new family now, and he needed to find his place among them.
