Pelle knew that he would undoubtedly be asked as to how he got himself stuck in such a strange spot. Sparing a few details, it basically boiled down to him not knowing the territory as well as he thought he did. One misplaced paw and the ground gave way under him, sending him plummeting down a steep slope to where he lay now. It was terribly embarrassing, but Pelle was just glad someone had managed to find him. It would be a lot easier to get himself free with the aid of another wolf. Otherwise he’d be stuck here chewing through brambles for the next day or two.
