Name//Shun (*Oceanica is her full name, but don't use it to her face if you value your limbs unbitten.)

Personality//
Shun is cold and selfish, to the point where she seems a little cruel, and struggles with deeper emotions like empathy and sympathy - so she comes off very badly on first impressions. Her default expression is a smug little smirk, that can make her look like she's always up to no good (which she probably is), but it can be unnerving to never really know what she's thinking beyond that arrogant expression. Unless you've made her mad, in which case the smirk she wears can quickly turn into a snarl and you should probably protect yourself from her teeth. Shun has a short temper, which is great sport if you want to press her buttons - she's very easy to get into an argument with, and will often sulk if things don't go her way. She usually uses her femininity and quick wit to get what she wants, but uses her fangs when that fails. She WILL fight you.Her most redeeming quality is her loyalty; she's difficult to get close to, but if you've earned her respect you have earned her unwavering loyalty. Shun isn't 'evil', she's just not very nice - she doesn't go out of her way to do 'bad' things, she just wants to do what she feels like and is honest enough to say that she usually doesn't want to do 'good' things. She wouldn't take pleasure out of someone else's pain (unless she caused it), but she wouldn't care about making them feel any better either. She's pretty much always out for herself, no matter who or what gets in her way.

History//
Although her full name is Oceanica, she goes by the name of Shun, because of the way Oceania is pronounced [oh-shun-eeca] and because she thinks it suits her more - she realises that she does shun away mostly everyone. She's gone by Shun for so long that barely anyone knows it's not her full name, and it's a secret she's keeping close to her chest. Shun has always distanced herself, so while she lives at Sunset Seaside her home is actually in a damp cave by the shore. Her night vision is incredible (thanks to her glowing eyes) so she never has a problem with the gloom, and deep down she loves the sound of the sea swishing by the cave mouth with the tide. She's always had a natural affinity with water, because of her elemental gravity powers, and lives contentedly surrounded by the ocean and the smell of salt on the breeze. Her elemental gravity is something she's particularly proud of, and she spends alot of time commanding the water around her by will, honing and sharpening the powers so she can change the shape of the water more effectively, or push the amount she can lift at once. However, she is constantly frustrated that no matter how hard she trains she can't make the water stop reacting to her mood - when she's angry it will become a whirling tempest, when she's happy it dances and swirls, being surprised makes it drop to the floor, and when particularly sulky it whips around her like a liquid knife. She dislikes the notion of friendship unless it somehow benefits her, and has an intense hatred for Kamis that make friends easily and with anyone. She can hold a grudge for a long time, so it's advisable not to cross her or get on her bad side. Using her Hebra Gene makes her much more agreeable.

Hebra Gene//
* Shun has acquired the Hebra Gene ! *
The Hebra Gene enables her to take a temporary 'noodle' form - her body becomes elongated, she gets another set of ear wings, she gains an overgrowth of mane-like fur along her back and she can now fly! The gene takes a lot of energy to maintain so she can only hold this form for about half an hour at a time, and must wait for a few hours for her energy to return before she can activate the gene again. Although she can fly, she mostly uses this form to swim through the ocean, and uses her long body like an eel to swim effortlessly in the water. The hebra gene has an odd effect on her temperament as it seems to make her much calmer, if you see her in this form she will be much more helpful and pleasant than she is usually.

Toki (belongs to TheLieutenant ) - This relationship.... What even is it??? Shun and Toki just. shouldnt. work. and yet? they do?? Toki is without fail the most irritating Kamishiba Shun has ever met, with his constant cheesy one liners and pick up lines, and she tells him at every opportunity. But.... he has a genuine heart beneath all that, and it's somehow wormed its way into her life. The day she realises she actually enjoys their banter and his terrible lines is the day that she wonders what went wrong with her life ("no" she whispers, after smiling at thinking about something cheesy he would say to her, horrified at the warmth that spread through her chest.) She often tells him she will drown him, or that she hates him, but that only seems to make him worse! She actually enjoys his company and she senses something darker hidden beneath his joyful exterior.

Family:

Aegis (belongs to MariiCreations93 ) - Shun's beloved little brother. She would do anything for this little ball of sunshine, and will fight you if you even think about hurting his feelings. She tries to ignore that warm spot in her heart that fills her with affection when they spend time together, and will sometimes still be a jerk and kind of abrasive to him - but that's just how she is, she teases him because he's her little brother and she can, but she still genuinely loves him. ('You call that a sandcastle? ... Oh no, I'm going to fall on it!' 'Noooo' 'I'm falliinnng!' 'NoooOOO' and they dissolve into laughter.)
Xion (belongs to KitsuneFlame78 ) - These two are so close you might mistake them for actual sisters. They are on a wavelength all of their own, and can pass comments through to each other with just a look. They hang out sometimes, Xion likes to bring her pretty things (that she cherishes) and Shun enjoys showing off her water gravity so she can lOOK RLLY COOL. Xion is the only Kami lucky enough to be offered a flight over the ocean atop Shun's Hebra Gene Noodle Form. She's unusually kind and understanding about Xion's mood swings, though she hasn't seen many, and will sometimes offer advice or comfort.

Friends:

Michiko (belongs to 3DAri ) - They were once allies in the Dark Army, where Shun took a great interest in her skill and talent. She outwardly pretends not to care too much, but inside she admires Michiko's determination and her ability to be herself.
Elora (belongs to xColere ) - A once tiny little spoiled brat, Shun is proud of the Kamishiba she is growing up to be. Although she does still call her 'brat', it's meant with love, and an affectionate term from when she was young that Shun hasn't been able to let go of. (Look how pretty she's growing up to be.)
Pontus (belongs to Mad-Izoku ) - Shun loves her ocean bestie. He's so good, so pure, and she is always very aware of how much she doesn't feel like she deserves his friendship. But her prickly demeanor seems to melt away in his calm presence, and she finds some kind of peace in his friendship. Plus he's just an all round chill guy that she enjoys sharing a love of the ocean with - when he appears for a visit. She especially treasures their times when they are doing their tours together through the ancient watery temples.
Ren (belongs to DarkMoonShadowz ) - Probably one of her most steadfast friendships, because she can be entirely herself with this Kamishiba. They both enjoy the others company, even if they don't say as much. One of the only Kamis to truly earn Shun's unwavering loyalty.

Rivals:

Kirai (belongs to TalonEX ) - Are they rivals? Friends? Frenemies? Since Kirai tried to drown her the first time they met, shouldn't that make them super enemies? Nah, Shun takes it all in her stride, since she did try to bite his face off when she got out the swampy water, and that kind of makes it even. He's pretty much a jerk, but so is she, so at times they are friendly and at others they can argue. She always makes sure she has something to brag about to him when they meet.
Storm (belongs to Kiffels ) - Storm is super pretty, which instantly annoyed Shun. They have similar personalities though, and while that only served to annoy her even more at first, their rivalry is actually fairly good natured. She enjoys trying to show off and brag to Storm, and their banter is fun and easy. Though she would class her as a rival, she won't accept anyone else being mean to her - it's like a 'it's perfectly fine for us to argue and show off but if anyone else does it and upsets her I'll bite their face' kind of deal. Are they actually just some kind of weird friends??

Neutral:

Killian (belongs to 3DAri ) - Something about this merciless pirate rubs Shun the wrong way (he has no respect, and acts like he owns everything) but she's come to appreciate the uses she can get from a pirate and his crew. She often lets them store stolen swag and other bits and pieces in her caves if they need to keep it laid low for a while, which has gotten her in their good books - she asks no questions. In return Killian keeps her supplied with expensive and exotic materials and cloth that he sells to her at a cut price (she doesn't have enough morals to care if it's stolen or not) that she decorates her caves with, and both parties trade any gossip or rumours about treasure and stories they may have heard. She's a good ground ally for him, but that doesn't mean she has to like him.
Sirius (belongs to Finding-The-Key ) - Sometimes he looks at her like he knows her, and it freaks her out. She would like to be friends with this mysterious Kami, but he also unnerves her - like he knows more about her than she knows herself.

Enemies:
Breccia Lacus Nadir (belongs to The-Slave ) - Shun originally thought that this Kami could be a powerful ally. But she was wrong. He is what she would consider as the very definition of evil. She's selfish and arrogant, but he is on a whole other level. She looks at him and sees what she could have become if it wasn't for her relationships with others - she has a heart (as deeply buried as it is) but Breccia doesn't appear to have one at all. She hates seeing this horrible kind of mirror into what she could have ended up like. If she sees him again she will fight him. She trains hard for that day.
Mallow (belongs to Finding-The-Key ) - When Shun was in the Dark Army she had a confrontation with Mallow, because of the bad things she did for the Dark Army. She's no longer in the organisation, but she can't let go of her intense dislike for this Kami, and it seems he can't forgive her for her past sins either. There is alot of tension there.
