With Wart now into consideration, Princess Peach now knows that her father is being held captive somewhere in Subspace (the finer details can be found in my FanFiction story). Prince Dreambert also gets to fulfil his initial role as a means to get into the Dream World. In BS Super Mario USA, the Subcon have a monarch: King Osama, whom I've given the role of telling the Bros about Wart's exile to Subspace. I also figured that there should be at least one permanent entrance to Subspace (as opposed to using potions to spawn a temporary door). At this point, there don't seem to be any more obstacles between them and Wart — until Dreamy Luigi tries to join Mario in the Portal. Here, Dreamy Luigi is bawling his eyes out upon learning that he is subject to the effects of the barrier; it keeps him out just as securely as it keeps Wart in. Those that have played Mario & Luigi: Dream Team know that Luigi can spawn Dream Portals by sleeping on a Pi'illo like Prince Dreambert. Somehow, the party needs to find a way to spawn a Dream Portal without Luigi . . . which is easier said than done.

Now Antasma has been shown to spawn Dream Portals at will — an ability he wished for from the Dream Stone. So the first thing they thought of was to request the three Legendary that they had collected to create one for them. However, they found that Wart had already overridden their request using the four in his possession in a malicious effort to make things harder for them. Now this may seem contradictory to what had been said about the Beanstar in Superstar Saga that it can "grant any and all desires," but I like to view this in the light of the fairytale edition of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp. The original story actually has two genies: a "slave of the ring" and a "slave of the lamp." At about midway through, the African magician (essentially Jaffar), after obtaining the genie lamp through trickery, uses it to transport Aladdin's palace and wife (essentially Jasmine) to Africa. Under threat of the Sultan beheading him if he doesn't bring Jasmine back, Aladdin pleads with the ring genie to return his palace. But the genie responds, "That is not in my power. I am only the slave of the ring; for that, you must ask the slave of the lamp." Now understand that this is the same genie that had said earlier, "I am the slave of the ring and will obey thee in all things." By now, after this long contextual description, you can surely see what I'm getting at. In the same way that the slave of the ring couldn't override the wishes implemented by the slave of the lamp, the three Legendary in the heroes possession couldn't nullify Wart's restriction ratified by the four under his control.

There are only a few hurdles left before the final encounter. The benevolent Shroob (from the background of Portrait 2) suddenly comes back into the spotlight at this point when he tells the party that his people had plans for a Dream Portal generator. This would mean another trip through the Toadwood Forest and into the abandoned Vim Factory.
