No worries. The species of frog that Wart had been was completely harmless. I looked it up, and there are plenty of species of frog that are edible. One of them is even called the "edible frog" (pelophylax esculentus) and is one of the primary species for frog legs in France. Wart was no different.

The opposite scenario happens at the very beginning of this story, when Toadette gets eaten alive by one of Wart's operatives (my race of toad men that I called the Sapians). This is actually the motivation behind her eating Wart here.
Additionally, I have another scene where Peach interrogates the Sapians for the first time, and when Nerr T hears that one of the creatures had eaten Toadette, he says "Are you saying these toads eat Toads?!"
