I made this costume (Paine from FFX-2) for Tekkoshocon 2005. All the little silver squares are spray-painted cardboard, and the other silver parts (brooch, leg thingies, etc) are silver spray-painted Sculpey clay. (Sculpey, painted, works REALLY well for costume elements, by the way. Tip for future costumers). I entered it in the hall cosplay contest, but unfortunately, it won no awards. Still, I think it came out pretty well, considering the limited time frame in which I made it. I'm going to refine it a bit and make it more accurate , and hopefully I'll be able to come to the next Tekkoshocon and wear it again.Related content

haha! Thanks! I was making a sincere attempt to NOT look as stupid as lots of other cosplayers. I think it worked pretty well. You coming to the govvie reunion???

Very, very nicely done. The spray-painted squares look like silver! I never would have guessed cardboard.
