I literally colored this two other times before settling on this one (the third time I colored it)
Have I mentioned how much I love the Theirin boys ? Because I do...
This came to mind when I realized the helmet in Cailan's armor set had a purple plume, which reminded me of Maric's purple cloak. Edit: (I got my stories mixed up because I shouldn't be typing this stuff at 5am, lol XD What I meant to say was...) When approaching Wonders of Thedas in Denerim, Alistair says when he was a kid, Eamon bought him a golem figure, and when you go inside he asks to see if they have any more. This (and all the other statuette gifts you can give him) led me to believe that he has a collection of figures, and the only purple thing I could think of was an ogre
Though of course Cailan was killed by one and Maric was almost killed by one, but hey! It's in the past... lol XD
And Loghain's there just 'cause

Yes. It's even more adorable because that love for toys had extended into his adulthood. Just imagining him playing with his Grey Warden hand-puppets always puts a smile on my face.

I guess you read the books then? Is it me, or did Maric's dialogue just seem to reek of Alistair? (Naturally, Maric came first, but reading The Stolen Throne, it was so easy for me to believe that Alistair is very much Maric's son lol)

Haha, Maric and Alistair really do sound alike, I agree! I think that's also because Gavid Gaider wrote them both, and also since there are a lot of parallels between both characters (both thought they'd be incompetent rulers, are kind of naive for some time, like to be funny, are well-loved by the people, etc, etc). But-but... they (and Cailan) are just so lovable!

You too! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Marric and Alistair sounded quite similar. Makes you wonder what Cailan was like outside of the little blip of time you got to meet him. I bet he was like his father & brother, personality & speech wise.
