Description
Kasqui, the francophone state hugging the east bank of the Mississippi river. The three bands representing the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee rivers combine as they do within the state's borders, around the state capital of Trois-Rivières (OTL Cairo, Illinois). The state's foundation around the rivers is memorialized in the state motto La Nouvelle Egypte, which led to great prosperity in the early 19th century which faded into one of the poorer and more rural economies by the 21st. Settled before the more southern and hot reaches of the Mississippi, the flat riverland makes for good farming and frequent floods.
