The Cogi race are a relatively rational race, but their behaviour is such that whenever they encounter beams of red light, they become focussed solely on the colour blue. These leads to them wishing to collide to the exclusion of all else.

The Cogi are a "crafted from Almost-Zero" species by my supreme species "The Daren'Ga". The Cogi are supossed to be the Pinnacle of "Positive use of Science and applied Knowledge" on my fictional universe.
The Cogi are more practical and ethical, and only a tiny bit in "spiritual" fields like Budhism and related. The Cogi aren't in believing in things, just seeing these things in action with their Mega-ultra-precise and powerfull science experiments. The Cogi invented many perpetual-use energies, teleport devices and other wonders to full a common universe space.

Well, in Milegu there is a Cogi race like that, but all the description is in the shoulders of Avengium that invented them. They are rational for sure.
