So first of all, I really like the setting, and the idea! On top of that you have done a great job with the lightning and you also used a nice color scheme which creates a beautiful atmosphere e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="
I also love the amount of detail you put into this pice which help to get one into this and get the feeling of sitting in the shadow, spectating what`s going on e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="
To sum it up, this is a really great painting, which is awesome to look at!

I try to keep things open for interpretation, but in my own opinion, the painting tells the story of the cute critters from the forest, who sacrifice one of their own to keep the evil (the snake) outside their territory. Where the irony is that they sacrifice their own innocence to keep safe.
