Thanks. It was my intent to make an image that was very different from my usual stuff. This time around, I envisioned this image as being predominately white. Normally, I create white with a desaurated cyan, and then apply a strong yellow highlight and subtle purple shadow, creating an opalescent effect that most see as white. But, even in this image, I never use white itself when coloring, it's always a combination of other colors to create an optical illusion that reads as white.

But with this image, and this is why it's so different looking, I made the intensity of the optical illusion very subtle. So it's not awash with color. Since this image was going to have so much white in it, I wanted to keep it simpler so it had more pop, and so those eyes would really jump out.
