[BEST IF VIEW IN FULL... TRUST ME
]I've been reading too many Marine Biology books
anyways please understand that the reflection-refraction relationship of light and water tend to make light behave very differently underwater......... in other words.... THOSE DAMN RIPPLE REFLECTIONS KILLED ME!
..... cuz its all about details details... MY GOD! THE DETAILS! ^_^

As for the inspiration... whenever i dive i lyk to crawl on the sea floor.... dont ask my y cuz i dont know either... i just like it..... my dive intructor even got freaked out bout what i do whenever we ascend slowly for decompression..... i lyk to ascend upside down.... lol.... everybody goes up facing up.... i go up spinning around and ascends along with them..... i find looking at things around me upsidedown pleasurable.... ^^ ..

I really like this piece and and the overall composition and colouring. Underwater scene is always one of the harder thing to do (other than 3D i think) in traditional or digital medium. I ought to try that sometime. The character is awesome too.
Though one thing I'd suggest is that I think you used the light shard (the light going through from the sea level to our view) and the sparkle on the scale too much. It takes our view away from your really awesome character.
By the way, thanks for the Fav and glad you like my take on my friends' characters and one of my most fav movie.

This piece of artwork is defineterly a great one.
Normaly this would be a difficult piece to make, but you have experience underwater.
The environment is great, the sensation, the planes and the colors are great.
I don't particulary like the color of the fishes, but still a great job.
Seems to me like you have made a self portrait. I don't know much about you, but I see him very quiet, very relaxed, like a great king of the underwater. His face, however, seems to me like if he were keeping his breath. Wich, of course, you would do if you where in his place.

i took my mouse...... set it on dodge tool... set the radius to 1 pixel and dodged it pexel by pixel.... all the while magnifying the image 1300 times.... XI

the weirdest thing about warcraft iii: the frozen throne is that you *can* play as the naga race! they have their own town center and everything, but the only way you can play as them outside of campaign mode is if you make your own custom map and play multiplayer on it.
