The eyes, I can't stop fixing them. Deep, tired, angry eyes.
Originality does't factor here, simply because I think it isn't the goal of this capture.
Technicaly, this shot is good, but has a few downfalls, such as the black data loss in the hair. It is however minor compared to the brilliantly captured eyes and the sharp contrast of the white face and its shadows.
As far as emotions are concerned, I am touched. Very touched. The impact of this capture is extremely strong. The eyes of a kid grown up too fast : I can never get used to it.

the sun was so bring that day as you can see, from the boys face, that was a main factor in loosing many of the important details.
as you mentioned the reason behind uploading this photo is the emotional factor you feel after looking at it. his eyes were too precious to be kept in my hard disk.
