Announcing AuraJam 2022It's that time of year. July is only 10 days away, which means it's time for the annual AuraJam. I host the AuraJam every year to celebrate her creation in July, 2010. ,This year's theme: Imagine Aura Lockhaven as a character in a video game.Dress her up as the protagonist, or an NPC. Here are some ideas to get you started ...Aura in Tomb Raider:,Aura in World of Warcraft:,Aura in Grand Theft Auto:,Aura in Resident Evil:,Aura in Legend of Zelda:,Now, if you don't play games, there is still plenty of room for you in this year's jam. Imagine Aura as a member of a comic book superteam (think Avengers or Justice League), or part of a TV show (such as part of Mal's gang in Firefly) or genre movie (there are never enough Jedi Aura ideas):,Play up the comedy. Play up the sexiness. Play up the action. Do it your way. I like seeing what you do with my girl and some basic guidelines.Here are the rules:RULES! Jackass!!!The AuraJam will run from July 1 through July 31, 2022. It is open to all forms of art: 3D, hand drawn, HeroMachine3, written story, photomanip, etc. If you need to hire a commission, go ahead. Since she's in a game, feel free to create a table top rollplaying character based on her. Try to keep her in character, as much as possible for the world you set her in. Yes, that's an intellectual/philosophical challenge. I like to make you think. For instance, she's too humane to be part of Fallout4's Institute or Brotherhood of Steel, but would make a good Railroad or Minutemen member. That is, unless you deliberately made her evil to show what would happen if she ever abandoned her commitment to compassion.You do not have to keep her a spellcaster. Some games/comics/shows do not have room for magic, so adapt her power to fit. Instead of a staff dubbed the Trollslayer, she has one hell of a blaster.If you go the comic book superteam route, you do not have to use Crimson Enchantress. Feel free to create your own name/costume/power around her.Yes, you can tie her up naked. Try to keep the bondage/peril in context with the game/show. And man, there are plenty of games that have that! Loverslab mods, baby.We know how artjams work, but I'll say it anyway. This is an artjam, not a contest. Everyone wins!
