Hello, guys and gals. It's your boy Rye "SneakyLizard" Callan. Here are the top 10 characters who I think deserve better. And remember, it's just my opinion. Don't question it.

Without further ado, let's begin the list.

10: The Beetle (Marvel Comics).
I know that this guy turned over a new leaf by joining the Thunderbolts, but I personally prefer Abner Jenkins (his real name) as a villain. I especially loved his portrayal in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, where he was voiced by the late Chris Latta. Gotta love his insect-like voice in said portrayal. But why does The Beetle deserve better? He should seriously go back to his evil ways. Or better yet, Marvel should make another alternate continuity, where he's back to his old shenanigans. I would love that.

9: Havik (Mortal Kombat).
Don't worry, I know this guy is well liked, and I love him, too. But the reason Havik deserves better is the fact that he needs more appearances in the Mortal Kombat games. So far, he's been in Mortal Kombat: Deception, its portable update Mortal Kombat: Unchained, and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, as well as making a cameo in Noob Saibot's ending in Mortal Kombat 9. At least the Mortal Kombat team still love Havik. John Vogel (of NetherRealm Studios) stated that there's even hope for Havik to be in MK11. That makes me really happy.

8: Emperor Pilaf (Dragon Ball).
Well, he is a neat lookin' type of villain. He tried so hard and risking his life to get the Dragon Balls, and for Pilaf trying to conquer the world. It's a shame for his many failed attempts, and trying not to credit him and his henchmen as losers, even being betrayed by King Piccolo after trying to associate with him, and the monster can't keep promises, so I don't think he and his henchmen are lame. Akira Toriyama has done a great job to design portraits of great classic villainous gang type things.

7: Samus Aran (Metroid).
Now, I'm sure you all know why I put Ms. Aran on the list, right? It's all because of how people have been treating her lately because of her portrayal in Metroid: Other M. I can't stand the people that do this.

6: Kintaro (Mortal Kombat).
Ah, here's another Mortal Kombat character that I think doesn't get the respect he deserves. Yeah sure, he's basically a tiger-version of Goro, but I think he's unique in a way. They can do so much better with him in the future. I really hope to see Kintaro again in future games.

5: Villager (Animal Crossing).
I'm sure you're all wondering why the Villager is on the list, right? It's quite simple. I hate how people all over the internet are constantly depicting him as a murderer (all because of some stupid meme), when he's really not. Some memes like Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch are awesome and funny, but Villager's meme, on the other hand, is just unacceptable in my book.

4: Amingo (Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes).
Now here's a character I feel doesn't get enough love. I really wish he had more appearances outside of MvC2. He would seem fitting in a future Darkstalkers game, which I doubt is gonna happen anytime soon. Poor guy ;(

3: SonSon (Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes).
Not to be confused with the SonSon from the arcade game of the same name. This one is actually the granddaughter of the original SonSon. All that aside, she doesn't seem to get enough recognition. I wish she had been in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (as well as its update Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3), alongside other characters like Amingo and Psylocke, but they had to put in slot-wasters like Crimson Viper, to name one. I also feel she would fit in a Darkstalkers game, even though some people may not agree with me on that, but y'know.

2: Khameleon (Mortal Kombat).
Ah, why it's none other than the last living female of the Zaterran (aka Saurian) race, Khameleon. Why do I think she needs more love? Well, she needs more story development. Though, the fact that she makes a cameo as a support card in the IOS version of Mortal Kombat X could be an indication that we may see her again. I certainly would love that, because her design in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is hot stuff. Oh yeah.

1: Chameleon (Mortal Kombat).
Last, but certainly not least, is the mysterious warrior who spies on events, Chameleon (with a "C"). There is a reason why he is at the #1 spot. Why you may ask? Well, hardly anything is known about the character. In his debut appearance (which was in the Playstation 1 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy), he didn't get any backstory whatsoever. It merely states that he was "One of Shao Kahn's deadliest warriors". That's it. They never bother to explain whether or not he's from Reptile's Zaterran race. Even his return in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon didn't do him any favors (aside from an awesome redesign). In said game, he was given a rather vague backstory (explained in his ending). It stated that he had been watching events from the shadows, from Liu Kang's first victory, to the return of Onaga the Dragon King. Talk about disappointing. However, in Mortal Kombat X, if Reptile is in a mirror match, he will question if the Reptile before him is Chameleon. This could imply that they not only know each other, but that Chameleon may indeed be a Saurian. That makes me happy, because Chameleon needs to make a triumphant return in the new Mortal Kombat timeline.
