Description
A rather quick (these days) still-life of my favorite drink on a warm, wonderful morning.Software used : Maya, mental ray, Rhino, Mudbox, OnyxPalm, Photoshop. 14M polys or so.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it, and honestly it's only the sky that bugs me now. I could probably fix it in Photoshop without having to redo the scene in Maya, though.

Realism gets easier and easier, but it takes lots of practice! Been doing 3D for a long time, and your statement is about the greatest compliment I can receive!

Thanks a million! Just takes a lot of time and hard work, lots of test-renders and then work in Photoshop to blend it all together too, after the 3D phase is done...

It has really nice feel and atmosphere. Composition is simple but it guides eye through the whole image. I'd vote for a bit darker shadows and smaller patterns on the tablecloth, and at late evening I'd prefer tea instead - after such amount of coffee I'd stay awake till 5 a.m. the following day

The antialiasing on the grass looks a little off, but besides that, this is awesome!

I rather concur... Partially it's .jpg artifacting though, as in the original (200dpi) render the grass seems okay. But I could have blended it slightly better! Glad you like it, thanks for the honest critique!
