after the success of the 1st skirmisher for the militia, the production of more advanced suits was green-lit. the resulting Mark II was an improvement over the original in every aspect. not only was the reaction speed improved between rider and chassis, but the biggest advancement was the capability of the suit to use one handed titan sized weapons.

the current mark II is more expensive over the original skirmisher model. for the time being the Mark IIs are being given to elite rider teams and squad leaders.
