for some strange reason, bees always land on my hands just like that. they don't sting or anything, and they linger long enough for me to show my daughters there is nothing to fear.

Your style is, as usual, perfect for capturing the surreal irony of reality.
As for the painting, I can only begin to interpret it, and am curious to know your intentions...
I see a tongue-in-cheek portrayal of the Imperial March and Mission Civilisatrice, in this woeful parade... the double meaning of colonialism and colonies of bees... perhaps the ecological costs of industry leading to the mysterious collapse of bee colonies, and a strangely alienated urban landscape.
Who are the figures at rear? They remind me of the Marx brothers.
