Gah. This makes me think of the song from the same title off of the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. So floaty and relaxing and. Blue. It's a very blue song. This is really lovely.

I, too, love her expression. Its weird, she looks quite a bit like me. My hair is even almost exactly that color.

I checked all the images of the series, and realized this is the one which probably represents best the way I feel when I unplug from the world and get deep into my music. inner peace, hope, fullfilment. I love the stars and her eyes...

I wonder if it would have been (slightly) improved if her eyes were closed?
The angle of the head, the hair against the b/g, the very vague sense of motion in the b/g... lots of strengths in this one.

Drifting...stars float above me, around me...they surround me. Their energy sears through my body, like lightening, spontaneously struck. The rhythum coarses through my body, as if I were the string of a base, being strummed harmoniously forever. Lost. All reality is gone...all I see....is space.
Just a little poem that inspired me to write spontaneously when i saw this, i love this collection aaron...man its great!

i adore this series; each of the pieces is beautifully painted, and your concept is wonderful. i know exactly what you mean... when you have headphones on playing 'music that moves you'... you're in your own little dreamy bubble detached from the rest of the world. this drawing is my favorite one. i love the colors, and the character & expression are so adorable.
