maybe you are trying to hard with his eyes. the more you look at the more you will pick minute faults.just try this out. place the drawing standing up on a table and take a walk past it. have a casual glance and if it looks right than it is.

have you tried taking the reference (printing it out if necessary), folding it and putting it right next to the eyes to see how far off they are from the original?
maybe they're not that off...I can't see too much wrong with it this time. maybe it's just a quirky reference...

Oh-My-God. That's.. BEYOND amazing. It's drawings like that that motivate me to work hard at portraits and profiles. That's just.... beautiful to the point its practically real. Excellent, EXCELLENT job!

I think his eyes are fine. If you watch an episode with any close up of him you will see that his eyes are not lined up perfectly. The only thing I see from the unfinished version is he is a little less clean shaven than that.

I just looked at it, I think it is really well done. If you watch some of the seasons that he is in when he looks at someone his left eye twitches sometimes.

Yes, I think he really added an interesting element to the Doctor Who character. Tennet said that he was impressed with the new doctor that they will be starting for season 6. Young guy, but a life long fan. So there's hope.

Who's going to star as the new Doctor Who now?

A guy by the name of Matt Smith. He's 26 making him the youngest Doctor. You can see an interview with him on YouTube. What seasons have you seen so far?

This looks very good, and I look forward to seeing the finished version. I think the 'eye problem' is in the left eye (his right), because it doesn't seem to be facing the right way.

I know what you mean, although sometimes the ref pictures look normal, they don't transpose well when drawn, because of odd angles and shadows. They look wrong on paper because we question what we see in a drawing, but not in a photo.

I use a putty eraser and smooth it out to a very thin, fine line.

ummmmmm nah, i don't think they're any easier to rub off. Though I have found that you can rub layers off and then colour over it to create a different colour - it's interesting, but i've never really had use for it. but yeah ,if you want something light you just have to not colour there
