After Riders daughter Aurora died Rider took up heavy drinking and spent most her days in a drunken stupor which is the reason Nether Storm left.

Seth: *he sighs sadly* Well then... *he starts to quickly take away her mug and swiftly drinks every last bit of Apple cider within several gulps before placing the mug back on the counter while wiping away any cider that was left on his lips with his left foreleg* No more Apple cider for you.
