They should get Varro Tigurius from the Ultramarines, he survived interfacing with the Hive Mind... sort of...
Alternatively they could do it in groups to possiblyΒ balance the field...

That guy is going to turn into a gibbering mess in a few seconds.

I thought that nearly all attempts to look into the Hive mind ended up driving the psyker involved insane...

Clearly this guy didn't get the memo.

I give it about five seconds before he paints the room with the inside of his head.

He going to need a flamethrower to clean that krap put of his mind afterwards...

Even though that psyker is from the inquisition I think trying to look into a living hive tyrants mind would make the psykers head explode. Besides that great picture

He's doomed.

That particular Ordo Xenos unit better start looking for a new psyker, cause that one is about to have his mind crushed to paste.

I know... but when desperation knocks your door you have to do what the emperor comands... even if you know you are going to die.

Thanks for the comments!

Indeed you may die for second-guessing the emperor.

yeah just as good as when a large group of blood raven librains fought the hive mind during dawn of war 2...only 1 lived with severe scars on his soul...(still was one kick ass pysker though....badass to the core!)

I love 40K, as well as reading about the universe and the interactions between various armies and races. This is jaw-dropping - fantastic concept and brilliant execution. Absolute :+:fav:!

This is good on so many levels. The narrative of the captive Hive Tyrant and fearless inquisitor is so well evoked by the different scales of their profiles. The multiple "firewalls" the psychic inquisitor is obviously using to protect him from the impact of touching the hivemind are brilliantly realized. The different textures and colours used also evoke the conflict, with the warm, earthy colours of the human contrasted with the cold palette used on the 'nid.

I like to come up with something constructively critical when I look at these things, but this one's just about perfect. Maybe (maybe) I'd like to see just a hint of definition about the environment, but I can totally understand that the ill defined background and foreground represent the psychic wasteland that surrounds the minds of the protagonist and his antagonist.

I want this hanging on my wall.

BTW, you might like to know about Ordo Illuminatus, a community of artists of all abilities inspired by the Worlds of Warhammer:

Being a 40k player, i say its friggin amazing. If i had to change anything it would ONLY be the brain on the tyranid, id make it a little bulgier just because he's a psyker.
