Due to some unfortunate events I had to replace the work that ~Raynekitty did, and replace the pretty egg shading from Carthasis.

I think, the egg must be more looking like his parents.
And so, hatchlings are not so wonderful as their parents too.
I think they need some other color. For the egg - may be some black markings.
And for hatchlings.... mmm.... May be something else. Coz they are like swallow dragons on DragCave.net
I think you need more imaginary parts and addings!
That would be fine!
So, in all, I like the adults. But not hatchlings and an egg.
Last are too simple and shablon.
I hope you will get them more personaly and well-marked.

Not that I'm a spriter... but would it make stuff look glowing if it didn't look so solid to begin with? Like having it seem partly transparent, or at least have no shine from the light source? (since the glowy bit would be it's own light source, I mean)

Yes and no. If I wanted to go all out, the only light source would be from the glowing tail itself and not lightsource I have now, and I would have added some yellow reflected highlights to the body.
However I originally made these a year ago when I wasn't nearly as skilled as I am now, and something like that seemed impossible xD; I'll keep your advice in mind when I sprite my next glowy thing, though.
