The problem with artificial limbs is, how do they attach to the stumps? Soft flesh is not good at bearing loads without chafing and irritation.

The suit uses tensor fields, as shown in this drawing [link] to connect directly to the user's skeletal system.

Yeah, I rechecked that, it only mentions the shoulder piece using a βtensor field generatorβ.

Well no, all of the limbs use the system. I didn't think I needed to mention it all four times.

She does realize that she is naked, right? Anyone? Space isn't entirely friendly to exposed skin.

She is in space, yes, but also in a space-ship.

I like second quadsuit. First was so skeletal... kind of disturbing.

great drawing in general, but I particularly like the way her breasts are floating up and away from her torso - zero-grav boobs, yay!

How was she born without limbs?

From my last drawing of her- "Aera is one of thousands of humans born without arms or legs. Some ten years after human colonization of the planet Lanus, a flu-like virus spread through the population, resulting in a great number of complications in pregnant women. Children were born healthy, but either with atrophied limbs or none at all. Advanced robotic technology allowed them to grow and function as normal members of society, utilizing suits that they would wear everywhere but to bed. "

Very cool. But this looks like one of those situations where that idea I mentioned before could make sense... If the ship is in microgravity most of the time, she could have a second pair of arms instead of legs, and they'd be more useful. (My character Somtow is supposed to have something like that, but I've never gotten it drawn.)

Well he ship has artificial gravity, but a multi-limbed suit could be pretty cool for utility work.

The strap-on look is neat. I'm curious about the interface connection. I have an amputee character that was never "enhanced" and has used full-body suits... this makes me think of other possibilities for him.

The little red beads on her skin are dermal implants that her nervous system are wired into, they connect remotely to her limbs, a lot like Kiska's arms and legs do- [link]
Thanks for liking!
