Guess who has two thumbs and a brand new tablet? This guy! 
One of the concepts I had in mind for my story was the introduction of Sugar Rush II: Whirled Tour, a far more advanced sequel to the Sugar Rush we know and love. The in-game backstory is that Princess Vanellope Von Schweetz has entered a worldwide grand prix to determine the fastest racer the world has ever seen - and that means we get to meet a whole bunch of new playable characters! Meet my all-inclusive lineup of sugary OC's!
In the back row, we have Alouette Pettifor (France), shy and coquettish in person but a speed demon on the track; Fritzle Yummelshtump (Germany), an eternal optimist with a knack for physical stunts; Sarawich O'Reo (Ireland), friendly and quick-thinking with a desire to bring everyone together as friends; and Drizella Maplecakes (Canada), polite to a fault and on the slower side when it comes to racing. In the front, it's Orangina Shimmerdust (Florida, USA), who's always up-to-date on the sweetest trends; Richley Chocobatter (United Kingdom), a proper little schoolboy who hides a bit of a mischievous streak; Watermillie Mellonsweet (California, USA), a ditzy valley girl who's always off in her own little world; newly promoted General Atomic S. Bill, who occupies Vanellope's second seat in single-player races and strategizes on when best to use a power-up; Princess Vanellope Von Schweetz, of course, pleasant and welcoming to all newcomers to her candy kingdom; Mangus McTartenly (Scotland), boisterous and hot-blooded with an adventurous streak a mile long; Caramelita Chugarrez (Mexico), a fiery competitor who can hardly be caught on the racetrack; and Tsukara Pokkistix (Japan), eternally apologetic but surprisingly quick behind the wheel.
I also imagine that Sugar Rush II is backwards compatible with the original Sugar Rush, with a record-mixing feature that allows arcade denizens to save their best races to collectible cards and port them to the first game for a fun personal challenge. Which surely means that the OG Sugar Rush racers should get along just fine with these guys, right?

Hopefully, the OG Racers and our Vanellope should get alongΒ juuuuustΒ fine with the new racers and Princess VanellopeΒ (though, not giving much away, since I've followed this project closely for a while, but it looks like it'll easier be said than)

Fantastic work! Drizella's hat is a cool touch! Sarawich's hair is designed wonderfully! Really, great use of cultural tropes for the character designs while still being original.

I always had this small hunch that, the personality we know ofΒ VanellopeΒ we know personality wise, is mostly due to her 'glitch' warping even the very core of her being {which was why she forgot her racing skills at first, as literally everything about her was almost ripped apart by King Candy}.
'Vanellope 2' would be simply what she is 'supposed' to be like just with updated graphics and textures. {note I don't mean she's BETTER then the one we know and love, just likely what the creators of the game series intended.}

She's definitely different - sweeter, daintier, and without Vanellope's plucky sarcasm. But she's no less skilled on the track, and I imagine her stats got a bit of a buff for the sequel, so she might even be a little faster. Of course, she can't glitch
I figure each game character's personality is affected by the environment they're in. Vanellope learned how to be snarky and resourceful out of necessity, but Princess Vanellope hasn't faced the same sort of hardships, and never knew a life where she wasn't beloved by her fellow racers or denied what was rightfully programmed to her. So she's a little haughty, maybe, but still welcomes new visitors to her game with open arms - especially those from its predecessor. She and Vanellope have a lot to discuss. I think I'm gonna have fun writing for her, and I hope people enjoy reading her.

From what I've heard, the Disney artists went through a lot of different names for the Sugar Rush racers before they settled on the final ones (Rancis Fluggerbutter's name was originally Peterbelly Buttercap, etc). Honestly, I get why - it's just so much fun to come up with these

There's something about the way you drew Vanellope 2's hair that, for some reason, makes her look a bit more like Sarah Silverman. Maybe it's how more messy it looks or the side fringes are more thicker?Β

I know you didn't like RBtI, but for what it's worth, I liked how Taffyta's relationship with Vanellope was implied to have changed from antagonistic to competitive.

It was a nice implication, sure, but I wish we could've seen more than ten seconds of it. Going into the movie, I knew Taffyta had been recast, and I thought "Why didn't they get Mindy Kaling back?" Then I realized "Oh, because she literally only has like three lines."
The movie seems incredibly vague on whether the rest of the Sugar Rush racers are Vanellope's friends or not. She barely interacts with any of them, and the issue of parting ways with them doesn't seem to be a deciding factor in Vanellope's decision to stay on the Internet - when we see them at the end, none of them are particularly broken up about her absence. It's yet another maddening issue I have with the film that, like just about all the others, probably only could've been fixed if they'd thrown out the entire plot and restarted from scratch.
