God dammit dude, you actually managed to make me go "d'aww" out loud. Give yourself a pat on the back mate, that's the equivelant of getting a double drop Brach Gem from a high-level Brachydios in Mh4U on your first hunt.

Well, I'll try to explain it in a compact manner.
In MH4U, in both story and guild quests, there are special missions known as "advanced" quests, which basically boil down to "oh hey, a rare/extremely dangerous/both monster has shown up, KILL IT!" And, as such, appear and disappear randomly between hunts.
The Brachydios, a bipedal wyvern which likes to coat it's horn and front legs with it's explosive saliva (you can see why it's my personal favorite monster thus far), is one such monster.
So yeah, it's a monster that randomly shows up and you have to be dilligent as to not miss it. But that's not too bad, if it's not available, you just do some misc. Quests until it shows up.
But here's the kicker, you see, Monster Hunter has this system that involves hitting certain parts of monsters to break or sever them which, occasionally, leads to something called "shiny drops". The previously mentioned Brach Gem is one such drop. Granted, you can get it from carving the corpse/severed tail or by capturing it, but all of those still have a drop rate in the low single digits and the SD has the lowest with a single percent chance.
So, in short, you making me audibly say "d'aww" is comparable to getting two of a rare drop from an occasionall occurance of a randomly appearing monster in a single shot. Good on you mate.
P.S. I could've alternatively gone for the comparison to a shiny, timid/modest pikachu holding a light ball but that would be an extreme overstatement.
