Description
*Jack-13 requested a commission that required me to convert his photos of a particular fox and recreate the fox into a pilot in the Star Fox universe. Name and back story is largely up to the commissioner.This image gave me the opportunity to do a bit of visual research on a whole bunch of subjects to improve and sharpen some skills. Thankfully, YouTube has helicopter dustoff videos which helped with the sand blowing effect. Also, I took sometime to read up on exposure on a old Photoshop magazine.

I love this artwork! It looks so detailed. I also like how its an original character. I know this is inspired by Starfox, but I think this character is cool enough to have her own title!

Theese are energy weapons right ? shouldn't the clip look more like a battery in a casing instead of a magasin with springs and bullets ?
PS : In bawl and smash 4, the handle is in one single piece and there seems to be a cristal (lol) inside the slide with lightnings going around it, but smash isn't cannon, fox and falco sets on fire, teleport, and use a dune style deflecting shield, but for the deflector shield, it could make pretty interesting onground strategies, like halo desintegration shield (wich also works like dunes one funnily).

Awesome work. I like the use of a firearm in a world that uses laser weaponry, as a matter of fact my own SF OC Dagger Greene uses a S&W Model 686P. I also like how a planet that isn't very famous to most is used in this.

Needs a bigger slide stop, and a safety lock.
I can't see a magazine catch, her thumb hided it.
The gun was big. Especialy for a pistol. Not really. Unless you want its caliber is .45 Colt 
Her flight suit is good. But...something not right.
Pilots never carry their sidearm on their thighs.
But thier abdomens (left side in common) under their left breast.
I can't see the chevron. Her name badge, unit insignia.

Yep, that is a projectile firing weapon.
It's manufactured by GIGA Industries, based on my SF fanfic.
The M301A Handcannon is one in a series of show pistols primarily designed to generate military and paramilitary interest with solid-based heavy 'smart' pistols. It's selling points include an impressive muzzle velocity at 2,140m/s with a large "magazine" of 20 rounds when set at 21g projectile slugs. Recoil is mitigated somewhat by the gun's hefty frame allowing shorter recovery between shots. It's report is extremely loud and the muzzle flash is large which gives a powerful impression to friends and enemies in view. Ear protection is highly recommended.
In the world of Star Fox, sidearms seem to be commonly carried by mercenary pilot groups as seen in SSBB along their thighs. This makes sense for the Star Fox Team and Star Wolf Team as they need to occasionally combat enemies without their fighters in extended missions as required.
Her name wasn't mentioned or discussed with the commissioner. Her unit wasn't discussed either, therefore it wasn't added in and wasn't an objective for her design.

You see Julius, our beloved team, Star Fox, is a mercenary team.
And we've all knew what mercenary is.
They are somekind of outlaw, fight for money, no central government.
No rules, just engage.
Back to the past, I didn't know why Nintendo created Star Fox team as mercenary team.
Kids don't understand what that mean. Really.
Only us, adult.
How can we turn that bad look into something better???
What make the mercenary become hero????

At all the kids that I know are pretty smart. A plenty of them here know what a mercenary is and the ones that have at least played Star Fox know that that particular mercenary team are the good guys.
The idea of a extra-militaristic party has been pretty grounded in a positive light here in the US among the youth culture due to media. Such merc groups, hero teams, and etc. have been commonly depicted on the side of good.

As usual, your Star Fox art presents a great amount of detail, creativity and potential ideas for Nintendo to use in the next Star Fox title. The fact that you used holograms for the character's HUD and her gun's targeting system are icing on this awesome cake.

Fantastic design and mech boots. The use of the holograms for a HUD and on the gun are nice touches. The texture on the rock wall is really impressive as well.
